It is situated at the entrance of Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park and is known for its pristine waters, scenic beauty and tranquil environment. Ideal for swimming and sunbathing, the beach’s clear blue waters juxtaposed against the dried trees and fishermen boats at the shore make for a beautiful sight. The trees uprooted during the tsunami in 2006 adds to the beauty of the beach. Known as the gateway to Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, Wandoor is a small village in south Andaman’s with some beaches and accommodation options. It’s also known for its coral sightings, stunning sunsets and a cave formed by high tides surrounding the beach.
